Hi,
This plant is blooming for the first time, maybe it will help to identify it...
Thank you,

I think that's a matucana poltzi.
And as the walls come down and as I look in your eyes
My fear begins to fade recalling all of the times
I have died and will die.
It's all right.
I dont mind
I dont mind.
I DONT MIND

Re: Echinopsis ID
I think it's an Echinopsis, probably a hybrid. No idea what!
It has too many ribs to be typical M. poltzi, the flower isn't orange enough and doesn't seem to be zygomorphic, plus it is produced from down the stem, not close to the growing point.

Yes on a second look I did realise I missed the hairs on the flower stem, typically matucana do not have so many. Schoolboy error on my part.

Lobivia arachnacantha.

I second Phil. Red-flowering form of arachnacantha
Re: Echinopsis ID
Yes, probably Echinopsis arachnacantha var. torrecillasensis.
