One friend who are traveling to search species in Chihuahua, ask since a while and without a concrete ID. If you think the answer, plase make a good answer telling why is this. Found in East Chihuahua. Unfortunalety, I know someone wild collectors that are trying to find the location. And for that reason I can´t tell much about it.
Maybe at first can looks like one escobaria vivipara or something related
But looks this species have a variable spination
Specially the adult ones, and with the true form

One more shoot, showing the appressed spines, including the central ones. Only 1 central spine and turned more dark with the age

There is a Escobaria chihuahuensis that does not look too different from your plants, and your friend being in Chihuahua...
