Help Identifying a big cactus

Post by lugo »

Hello, I recently acquired a cactus that I was told was between 30 and 40 years old, but I don't know the species. I'm new to cactus care, and I'd love some help identifying it. Also, if anyone knows why it is so yellowish brown in spots, and if there is anything I can do about that, I'd appreciate your input!

Thanks!

Or a very old Echinopsis oxygona - the brown parts are just corking.
