Help identify plz

What cactus is this and ,how tall can it get?And is outside direct sun ok? Any info would be appreciated

It's Cleistocactus strausii.
It will grow to 6ft / 2m or maybe a bit more.
In most climates it will like direct sun for most or all of the day, unless you live somewhere extremely hot, when a bit of shade during the hottest parts of the day / year may work better.

And I think it can take a lot of water, more than most other of the cacti. I can only keep mine growing well if I put the plant outside for most part of the warmer months and just let any summer rain get on it. Otherwise the tips of the stem dries out, at least with me.
