Espostoa?

Post by fanaticactus »

I seldom have a 'white wooly' cactus in my collection, so I am terrible at recognizing their identities. I posted this along with other new ones I had purchased at the time. I had thought it was a Cephalocereus but was corrected by several who recognized it as an Espostoa. I looked at the species within that genus and found two that it could possibly be: E. nana or E. ritteri. Does either of these seem correct? The others pictured had spines which stuck out considerably beyond the wool.

Catch a falling star--but don't try it with a cactus!
