Help ID this brown cactus

Help ID this brown cactus

This was given to me last month. ID supposedly is Ferocactus emoryi but all the pictures I've googled on Ferocactus emoryi don't look like this.Plant is about 5 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches tall. TIA

Looks vastly more like an Eriosyce than a Ferocactus, maybe Eriosyce senils ssp. coimasesensis?

I think Eriosyce taltalensis.

It's one of the more northern E. paucicostata/glaucescens/taltalensis group rather than the more southerly E. senilis group. As usual flowers would help.
