Help would be hugely appreciated!
Hi all, I've just got myself a lovely cactus but I'm struggling identifying it! Any help would be hugely appreciated, I have a feeling it is a very common/obvious one but I'm all new here!

I've seen this on the interweb (usually from clueless plant sellers) as O. tuna, but the real O. tuna is a large padded plant with determinate growth.

It doesn't need sunscreen, either.
Needs lots of sun, actually. Opuntias are easy to grow, but it's difficult to give them enough light indoors.

Except that this species is thoroughly tropical, and the variegated form can scorch. Outdoors in Florida maybe, but even then I suspect it wouldn't survive the winter.greenknight wrote:It doesn't need sunscreen, either.
