Both of these plants were purchased in September of 2014 as good sized plants (in 1.5 qt containers) and I was hoping to get some idea of flowers before posting an inquiry, but if my suspicions are correct, I may be waiting awhile for blooms. So I thought I'd inquire and see if anyone had any ideas. Many thanks,
Carol

Re: Can't wait for flowers!
First one looks like Thelocactus hexaedrophorus. Second one I'd say is a Melocactus, no guess about which one.

If the first is Gymnocalycium saglionis, it will need to grow up little bigger. Melocatus should build a cephalium on his top first. I like those stout spines though!
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.
