I was asked about this plant--any guesses?

I'll grow it as long as it doesn't have glochids. Gaudy flowers a plus.

Agreed! It is naturally one of the prostrate or decumbent growing Mammillaria's

Perfectly natural for it to flop over and ramble as the stems get longer, but takes up more space than if it grew vertical.

If you scroll right down this link you will see somebody called JayDee solved the space problem by growing it as a hanging plant out of the bottom of the pot :lol:
