Two Mammillarias?

Post by Tiggy »

The first two on here I bought several months ago and thought it resembled a M. candida but it hasn't yet flowered so not sure. All three were in the same pot, but I split them as the one you see on it's own had that strange growing pattern and I wasn't sure at the time if had been damaged, but after seeing various images of M. candida I have noticed others that have a similar form. Nos. 3 & 4 I think might also be Mammillarias but can't work out which as they don't all look the same anyway. These were also in the same pot originally. The last one (No.5) I think is a Notocactus which I have had for a while. It hasn't y et flowered but has kindly produced three little pups that I only noticed today.

I would go with candida for the first. The Parodia looks more like magnifica.

I agree with Parodia magnifica - warasii is quite similar, but doesn't have the bluish look like this one does.
