Another one for I.D please

Post by CactusMad »

Hi,I bought this little cactus about 2 weeks ago.It caught my eye in a shop that sells all sorts of things. It had a concrete root ball but i sorted that out and now would really like to know if i can find out what it is.It is small, only 2 and a quarter inches across in total. The biggest central main stem is only half an inch across and the rest are very small.Any ideas or help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Some sort of Lobivia?
Buying a cactus a day will keep the madness away.

It looks like a Lobivia and could be Lobivia maximilliana caespitosa. This is apparently a very variable species.
Cactus enthusiast on and off since boyhood. I have a modest collection of cacti & succulents.

One of those situations where a flower would help. It can be hard to name some plants for certain out of flower.
