A volunteer in our pots

Post by BarryRice »

Hey,

This tap rooted species pops up now and then in our pots. Any guesses? For scale, those pots are 2"/5 cm on a side.

I'll grow it as long as it doesn't have glochids. Gaudy flowers a plus.

Not hypogaea, more in the direction of humilis, but they could also be tenuissima.

There is always one more glochid. Somewhere.

I think C. humilis. C. hypogaea flowers are not quite like this. C. tenuissima flowers are closer to this, but they are usually spinier and shinier.
