Ferocactus with red spines

Post by Brunãozinho »

I have this Ferocactus wich I haven't been able to identify. I've seen it bigger in the nursery where I got it, it forms clumps. I know F. robustus forms big clumps but I don't think it looks similar to this one. Also I don't think it's Ferocactus pilosus.

I'm growing F. robustus from seed (my seedlings are about the same size as your plant) and that one looks very similar.

Thank you Filip, I guess that like many species, this one shows morfological variations according to habitat location, that explains why some pictures I found online show some F.robustus that look a bit different.
