Today I received a freshly dug cactus that was infested with nematodes. The problem I do have is, that I am not sure about the genus of this plant. The stem was a little longer than shown on the image and it had a bent toward the base, which may indicate, that it had been taken from a larger columnar cactus. It also seems, that whoever brought this cactus from Mexico did cut off most of the spines. The stem of the plant was a little over 5 cm (2 inches) in diameter and the length was approximately 10 inches (25 cm).
To me this plant looks like some kind of Cereus sp., but I may be totally wrong with my guess.
Could someone from this forum give me a name (genus) of this cactus? I am attaching four digital images and hope, that this will help with the ID.

Looks like Echinopsis pachanoi.
