Need help to find out what to do with these babies

I was given these cactus from a friend of mine about 6 months ago, about 1 1/2 months ago I noticed that where some of the prickley things are that it was growing like babies on it n I have tried to search the internet to find out what to do with them because 6 of them had fallen off of the mother cactus so I put them in a planter with some soil, since then the mother cactus had started growing even more new ones can someone PLEASE help me so my babies don't die I love my cactus n succulents THANKS

They are babies ('pups') or rather clones and it's one way that the cactus uses to spreading itself. Google images for Echinopsis oxygona (which this is, more or less). If they fall off they are definitely ready to be planted.

Yes, they root very readily, I've had one the size of a pea that grew.

Thanks for the information I hope they survive n root themselves I'll keep it posted with there progress
