Echinopsis ???

Post by Kamos »

I've been calling this Echinopsis spachiana for the last 3 years......and then it bloomed yesterday! :) Everything I've
read about E. spachiana says white flowers. Can anyone help me give this the correct name?

It might be huascha or E. rowleyi=Lobivia grandiflora. I find them difficult to tell apart and they have been treated as synonyms by some. What colour is the throat of the flower?

Thanks phil for the reply. I can't really see the colour of the throat, but here is another view of the flower,if that might help. Thanks again.

As I said, they have been treated as synonyms by some. ](*,)

The thicker, more upright stems make me lean more towards Echinopsis rowleyi but these tend to have a more purplish throat to the flower, which was why I asked.
