E. Aurea var. dobeana??

Post by MadridPeter »

Hi folks! I spotted this and thought it was an e. Aurea var. dobeana because of big long black spines..is it? Or is it something else? Probably fallax ..harder to say with younger plant..but cool spines that's for sure

Possibly, but it would be much easier with flowers :). Could be just another Echinopsis.

I would say dobeana. Fallax has much wilder spines and lighter centrals. As vlani said flowers will definitely help with the ID :).
Buying a cactus a day will keep the madness away.
