Astrophytum asterias in nature - Recovery Plan

Post by bouldering »

I think that current state of recovery plan for one of the most popular and most beautiful cacti can be an interesting lecture. ;)

Species profile on U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service:
http://ecos.fws.gov/speciesProfile/prof ... pcode=Q07V" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Plan itself (2003):
http://ecos.fws.gov/docs/recovery_plan/031106.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Current(!) implementation status:
https://ecos.fws.gov/roar/pub/planImple ... tityId=513" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Also, here is an article about micropropagation in vitro of A. asterias:
http://www.aqua.ar.wroc.pl/acta/pl/full ... 700087.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And some stuff if you want to give it a try:

:D
