Well? What about now??? There is only one download file for No.4 and I can say it is more than 50% English.daiv wrote:Well to be more precise, it is bilingual.
Re: Xerophilia - another free online journal
You probably need to scroll down further Ron to where the English parts start. Some bilingual journals have English and the other language side by side, but some have the article in another language first followed by an English translation below it alternatively all the way down.
Re: Xerophilia - another free online journal
Hi All,
Xerophilia No. 5 is scheduled to appear online in one month’s time (on the 30th of June 2013). The edition is closed now and we’re working on layout, final touches and proofing. It is possibly to have it ready before month end, if so there will be an announcement made.
The feature article was written by Leccinum J. García Morales : The golden Mammillarias of Tamaulipas, Mexico. One of his habitat pictures is also on the front cover:
We were also pleased by the success of the Romanian version of The Stone Eaters (our first special issue => featuring an updated and extended version of the Soil Hexalogue). An English version is due to appear in August.
Cheers,
Eduart

Hi All,
We are preparing an article on Ortegocactus macdougalii for our December issue. However, we’re not completely happy with the set of pictures we have. Therefore we require few more pictures: 2-3 pictures of plants in habitat, 2-3 pictures of cultivated or flowering plants to choose from, and 1-2 pictures of the chimera Ortegopuntia ‘Percy”. Please email the pictures to eduart.zimer@xerophilia.ro
Authors will be credited accordingly. Thank you.
Cheers,
Eduart

Re: Xerophilia - another free online journal
Hi All,
Some of you may have received our two 2014 calendars per email. Although not an official Xerophilia product (and therefore not available on our website), the 2014 calendars can be downloaded from http://www.scribd.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (if you have an account search for Xerophilia). The calendars were not intended to be very functional – who needs classic calendars nowadays anyway? – but represent a big THANK YOU! to all who contributed with pictures, articles, support, ideas, and more to our effort of sharing free knowledge!
Happy New Year 2014!
Eduart
P.S. In mid to late January 2014 we will launch our third special issue: Epiphytic myrmecophytes of southern Asia and the southwest Pacific by Derrick J. Rowe. (English only). More details in the new year.

Hi All,
We plan to have our third Special Issue Epiphytic myrmecophytes of southern Asia and the southwest Pacific by Derrick J. Rowe online around the 18th of January: 64 pages, 145 illustrations. Prepare yourselves for an informative and pictorial delight! Probably the most extensive paper on myrmecophytes ever published in a "free knowledge sharing" journal!
Cheers,
Eduart
