Not been on the Forum for a week or so, therefore lost track of things due to repotting and doing other things since we have had to rehome a fairly large collection of one of our members who died. Anyway just received this email from Graham Charles for those not on his mailing list:-
"Number 12 of the Cactus Explorer is ready to download free from:-
http://www.cactusexplorers.org.uk/journal1.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This time there is a new subspecies of Echinocereus and news of a spectacular new Mammillaria!"

Re: Cactus Explorer 12
Thank you for posting this Dave. the Cactus Explorer is an incredible online resource - the best I have encountered.DaveW wrote:Not been on the Forum for a week or so, therefore lost track of things due to repotting and doing other things since we have had to rehome a fairly large collection of one of our members who died. Re: Cactus Explorer 12
If you notify Graham of your email address he will automatically send you a notification email (as I receive them) when a new issue is ready for download. I think that also applies with some of the other online journals too if you wish to be kept up to date?
I think Cactus Explorer also lists most of the other free downloadable Cactus and Succulent Journals towards the end. It's hard to keep up with them all as new ones keep appearing in different languages, but many have English summaries and those that don't have some great photographs and luckily plant names being in Latin are the same in any language.

Re: Cactus Explorer 12
Thanks for posting, I really enjoy reading the Cactus Explorer issues, I have them on my phone as PDF so I can read about cacti every now and then even if the internet conection is bad.
It's very interesting to read about cactus people histories like the one from Dr. Henri François Pittier de Fabrega, present on this issue. Also the Mammillaria bertholdii info and pictures are great.
