Hi everyone!
I'm new to this forum, let me say a few words about myself. I'm from Hungary, Budapest, I'm 32 years old. I started to collect cacti when I was a child, but stopped for many years (my father was looking after my collection during that, but many plants were lost). I restarted collecting 2 years ago. I grow my cacti on a balcony, I have about 140 plants. My favourite genera are: Pyrrhocactus, Neoporteria, Echinocereus, Escobaria, Sulcorebutia, Notocactus, Mammillaria, Lobivia... wait, am I listing every genus?
I hope I'll have a great time here!
Greetings from Hungary!

No, but it sounds like you will be if you hang out here long enough! Welcome, Fonix! My 1st thought was "How big is his balcony to have 140 plants"! Several recent "returnees" from long hiatus! You'll be back in the groove in no time. Welcome to the finest international community I've ever been involved with!

P.S. There's a bunch of Peters & they all have more experience than me!

Once bitten by the cactus collecting/growing bug, there is no known cure!
There's no 12 step programme for Cactaholics...so I shall just have to get some more!!

Hello Fonix,
I too want to welcome you to the cactus and succulent forum. You can learn quite a bit about cactus and succulent cultivation by interacting with the forum members, especially those named "Peter" . I am not one of them, but I volunteer whatever I do know and a lot of others do the same.
More likely than not, you are now in the company of the most helpful and knowledgeable cactus and succulent growers after having joined our group.

All Cacti are succulents, but not all succulents are Cacti
