Folks in zone 8a, when do you start watering?

Post by cactusgurl »

Hi all, just wondering when you all start watering your cacti again. I'm in zone 8a (west Texas specifically) and have some cacti that are looking really shriveled up already. I've been reading up on the subject and most recommend to start watering until march, however we've been having 70 degree temps with tons of sun and therefore am seeking regional advice. If anyone can help out it be greatly appreciated.

Some degree of winter shriveling is fine. However, if they are too shriviled, some watering is okay if the forcast is sunny all week.
