Aloe Plant Pot

Post by danellerachelle »

I recently bought an aloe plant and want to put it in this cute pot i have but i didn't realize there were no drain holes when I bought it. Everywhere online it says to use a well-draining pot for aloe but I was wondering if anyone had any personal success stories with aloe in a pot with no holes? I bought the miracle-gro cacti & succulent soil so I'm wondering if that will make up for the no hole situation.

You need a drainage hole. Drill a hole your self. There are many different kind of drill bits that will do the job.

I've drilled lots of holes in terracotta pots, both glazed and unglazed, using a simple tungsten carbide tipped masonry drill. Drill from the outside, don't use percussion and have hardly any pressure on the drill as it breaks through.
