Hi guys!
I've had an Espostoa calva for several years now, but it's only grown a few inches since I received it. I've repotted it several times, so I know it's got a good root system going on, but I'm not sure why there isn't more above ground growth- especially since Espostoas are generally quite large.
I don't think light is an issue- I've got in under the same lights and reflector as my other two columnar cacti, and they've grown a good deal more in the same time.
What do you think might be going on? Is it improper conditions, or is it just making a bunch of roots before growing upwards?
Thanks!

Re: Growing Espostoa
Every time you re-pot the plant has to invest in new fine roots, which takes energy. Some columnars also grow much slower than others. Maybe try a fertilizer boost if you feel it's growing really slowly.
