Sand from the Central Sands

Post by kaitlyn25 »

Being that I am from Wisconsin, good cacti and light is a bit difficult to come by. I come from the central sands region of Wisconsin (the very edge of it) and the sandy land that my grandfather owns is all wooded. Does soil that previously had trees growing in it affect cacti negatively?

Not a problem at all, all that matters is good drainage. Wisconsin has some native cacti, and quite a few others can be grown there - http://www.desert-scape.com/winter-hardy-cacti.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
