First Watering

Post by spolott »

Hi Everyone.
My cacti haven't had water since late last September. We're getting a late spring on Long Island, 60's in the day and upper 40's at night. Is it to early to start watering or should I wait for some warmer weather. Thanks

John

You can try mist spraying them as this does not wet the soil as much, then water normally when you see flowers or first spine growth

They were indoors all winter. I just brought them outdoors last week. suppose to rain over the weekend and I wonder if that would be a good first watering.

I water before taking them out. This could prevent sunburns if applicable. Now - live it to the rain if no shelter. It's raining here too and it's below 10 C night time. Most will survive if good weather is on the way.
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.
