Hello,
I have a cactus and it was becoming mushy and black at the top so i decided to cut that part off to save it, and it worked. But now it has sprouted a new part and i dont know if i should leave it like it is or if i should break it off and plant it in a new pot, or if i should bend it towards the soil as it appears to have made roots from the new part. I'm uploading a picture so you can see what i'm talking about.
Thank you and I await your advice.

Re: don't know what to do now
You have a vigorous, quick growing tropical cactus there (Hylocereus). Grown indoors it will need a lot of sun.
There is no need to bend the shoot down, you may wish to tie it to a stake or cane in the pot to encourage it to grow upwards, at least at first.
It will make a large, scrambling shrub, so is not very suited to a windowsill in the long term.
These are normally sold with a slow growing or delicate species of cactus grafted on top, which can benefit from the strong roots of the Hylocereus below.

It looks like it may need more light.
