Mamm. elongata

Post by oldcat61 »

I have a nice clump of Mamm. elongata, the plain green, not Copper King. It was a part of last August's big "rescue". New spines, good color but no sign of buds. My other mamms have bloomed, are blooming or are full of buds. I thought these were bullet proof - am I missing something or do they bloom later? Sue

Has it maybe not grown into its pot yet?

Probably getting over the disturbance. However even established plants do sometimes take a rest year and do not flower, or flower less than usual, even trees.
