Trichocereus peruvianus seedling

Post by Ramock »

Hello.
I just started growing cactus last week, among them i have some Trichocereus peruvianus (peruvian torch)
I planted the seeds 28/1 and a few has started to show. But in two of the pots one of the seedlings are showing something white webb looking at the base of the plant. I have searched  but cant find anything that looks like this. So is this normal or is it something bad? If so what do i do to stop it? Any information would be nice:)

The photo is not to clear but they look like roots to. Roots have a very large number of "fine hairs" that serve to increase surface are for absorption.
They do look similar to fungi but those are roots.

It would have been better to use a ziplock bag to give them more space to grow and have some more CO2. Yours will probably touch the cling film way too soon

You are right its not much space. Hm would it be safe to place the pots in ziplock bags and remove the film? Its the first time i do this but good to know until next time
