Black Spots on some of my Echinopsis

Post by Briguytm »

Hey everyone,

I recently bout a couple Echinopsis hybrids and one domino cactus on sale. They have black spots on them that I'm guessing is dry rot. If anyone can confirm this that would be awesome. Also if it is dry rot are the plants doomed or can they survive? They all look healthy other wise. They have new healthy looking growth at the tips besides the domino cactus. Also is there anything I can do like cutting it out. Thanks a bunch.

So are these plants salvageable at all? If not only spent $10 so it won't be much of a loss.

Thanks for any help in advance

Look up lynn at desert plants of avalon. She actually explained what these black spots are.
Except for the subdenuata, your plants are fine.
