Why is this brown?
I had some stems fall off a cactus about two weeks ago, and I tried to trim and sterilize them so I could plant them. I looked at them this morning and they were turning sort of black. I figured I just was sloppy in my sterilization so I tried again. I looked at them an hour later and they were brown like this. Any idea what could be causing this? Is it healthy or unhealthy behavior?
