The roots look fine, I don't see anything that looks like rot. Is the body of the cactus mushy?

Yes. It is so squishy. One of it's branches fell off when I tried to pinch it. :(

As mushy as rotting fruit? Are parts of the plant much more soft than other parts?
Most of the succulents are soft in some way. The more thirsty, the more soft they are.

If it is rot, you will now real soon! This plant looks fine for now.

So the are underwatered? It is squishy all throughout but not like a rotting fruit type of squishy. Like a gummy bear type of squishy.

Sounds like it's just thirsty. It's not shriveling up, so it's not life-threatening, I think. You can probably root the branch that broke off, too.
