Aztekium hybrids?

Post by kal9988 »

I was wondering, has anyone ever tried crossing different species of Aztekium with each other to create hybrids?

I believe I saw seeds offerings of A. valdezii with A. hintonii or A. ritterii on one of the Czech seed lists. I think it was A. ritteri.

A. ritteri is self fertile.
So "hybrids" with ritteri as the female are likely to be selfed rather than crosses

Only if it is an Aztekium ritterii x A. valdezii hybrid.
Not if it is an Aztekium valdezii x A. ritterii hybrid and Azterkium valdezii is not self-fertile.

Thanks! What about with hintonii? Have you ever seen any of these hybrids online?
