Wow, that seems really small to flower! Is that more common when grafted?

Ariocarpus are in flower in autumn.
Grafted small type of Ariocarpus such as agavoides, kotschoubeyanus etc will be in flower when they are less than 1 year old.

The agavoides on the photo is very young.
Seed was sown on 3rd August 2016 when it was in spring in here.
The seedling was grafted on 2nd December 2016.
Since I can see flowering buds now, sown seed to flowering bud is just 8 months.

Beautiful :D i'm now building pereskiopsis stock. The original stock i got had mites, so i have completely cleaned a few and am now starting them again from cuttings.

I hope you could get good grafting stocks soon.
Actually I have never experienced any mites attacks on Pereskiopsis.

Getting pereskiopsis is no problem, but more fun to grow my stocks from the few plants i al ready have :)
Also i have noticed schlumbergera isn't compatible with astrophytum asterias ('akabana'), but the astrophytum caput-medusae are looking very healthy so far, grafted on schlumbergera.

Hi Hana, I have a random question. I'm not sure you've mentioned this before, but what is grafting in Japanese? What's the term they use? :)
