What's going on here? Graft wise

Post by crispy224 »

Hello, I just joined today so I thought I would make my introduction with this graft. This I
Was one of the first grafts I did while I was waiting for my seedlings to get big enough. It's a loph caespitosa. Since i had no seedlings I had to impale graft one of my offshoots. It appeared to start t get some dry rot which has stopped but now the new growth is strange colors. So any ideas as to why it's like this? It's not sun burn so I'm at a loss.

Yes, they will go green after the initial growth is slowing, unless you have grafted a variegated caespitosa

Does anyone know if this is variegated? Or just growing fast like my graft so it just appears strange colors temporarily? I would like to get one but would hate for it to turn green.

If grown in bright conditions it will be that color, but it might be a lot greener if grown in shade. Indeed variegated
