Stock (or combination of both)

no problem. you need to make sure the stock is healthy, so it will make enough nutrients to support the scion and the conditionsbare right for the stock, so it won't rot away.
I graft about five schlumbergera's a week, this one just started growing (schlumbergera microsphaerica grafted on schlumbergera truncata)
