Grafting Stapeliads on myrtillocactus

Post by kal9988 »

If I graft a Stapeliad (Huernia or Whitesloanea Crassa) on myrtillocactus, will it grow, or do you need to graft it on another stapeliad like Hoodia? Thanks!

It won't grow. You need to graft onto another stapeliad.

They are actually separate plant families, so the likelihood of it taking are so infinitesimally small as to be completely negligible. So no it would not work. As esp_imaging said you would need to graft it onto something far more closely related.
