I hesitate to show photos because both mothers look ugly but:

G. mexicana, grafted a seedling in 2006
Image
A. ritteri, got a grafted plant from my friend, assumed an offset grafting
Image

The grafting process of 3 Onzuka and 1 G. mexicana offset was completed in this morning and I repotted them.
The photo is the G. mexicana offset.

Since I graft an offset, it is possible the scion to be in flower any time but it would be in flower when the scion reached to 25 mm diameter.
I graft 7~8 mm scion and it will reach to 25 mm diameter in 2 years.
The photo is a degrafted A. ritteri with 15 mm short stock, 2 years after the grafting.

The grafting process of 2 khoyo and 9 Onzuka was completed in this morning.
They were repotted in the morning.
Onzuka seedlings show various appearances. I selected seedlings showing Onzuka's character and grafted.

Do you sell your grafted plants or keep all of them?

I am just a hobby cactus collector as same as many members of this forum.
I do not sell any cacti to others.

The grafting process of 8 A. myriostigma cv khoyo was completed in this morning.
I repotted them in the morning.
2 more seedlings of khoyo were grafted. It will be the last seedling grafting in this season.

Other than seedling grafting, I have done the trial of tubercle grafting by using Ariocarpus.
Stocks are Pereskiopsis.
I use 2 methods.

Normal butt-joint
Image
Inserting a wedge stock into the scion, holding by a cactus spine
I used this method for the Pereskia stock around 40 years ago.

4 of (red flowering asterias x hanazono kabuto) scions have shown an abnormal growing.

Hi Hanazono, the "red flowering asterias x hanazono kabuto" seedling is very interesting. I'm curious about how it will develop.

Do you use only this species of Pereskiopsis as a stock, or do you have different kinds of Pereskiopsis?

I would like to ask you something about the hard cactus subject. If you graft a soft cactus, like a lophophora, onto a hard stock, like Hylocereus, do you need less or more pressure than if the scion is a hard cactus?

G'day Bruno

Yes I do, using only this species assumed Pereskiopsis veltina.
I think only this species is in Australia.

The purpose of pressure onto a scion is for the shrinkage compensation of the scion and so you need more pressure if the scion was a hard cactus.

Thanks regiesecke, for your comment.

Echinopsis is one of good permanent grafting stocks.
It meets to graft relatively large scions. I have several good results with Ariocarpus offsets.

To graft small seedlings, you need a preparation.
I set 2 stocks up on 22nd in this month and waiting the time come.
I saw this method on a website.
The photo is an Echinopsis, 5 cm diameter finished the setting up.

Updated photos of scions grafted in this season
They have grown vigorously with high nitrogen fertilizer and frequent watering.
I took this photos in this morning.

1. Astrophytum hybrid fukuryu-banjyaky
The scion has started to show the character of fukuryu.
Image
2. Ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Suguri-cauliflower
The scion has also started to show the character of cauliflower.
Image
3. Ariocarpus retusus v furfuraceus cv Seiji
Image
4. Ariocarpus fissuratus v intermedius
Image
5. Ariocarpus kotschoubeyanus f Rio Verde
It may be in flower in this autumn.
Image
6. Ariocarpus reusus v major cv Daruma royal
Imageno
7. Astrophytum aserias cv (red flowering asterias x hanazono kabuto) normal appearance
Since the spines are red, flowers should be red also.

The grafting process of 4 Ariocarpus tubercles was completed in this morning.
It seems the joint is very secure.

Scions: tubercles of 3 years old A. retusus v fururacesus seedling
The scion skin was a bit hard and I cut the edge off of joint face.
The grafting to the completion was 10 days.
The attached photo is one of them.
