Blossfeldia graft query =^~^=

Post by Eutow_Intermedium »

I have had a Blossfeldia on a Hylocereus graft for well over two years.

Well today I just looked at the plant and took it out of the pot to find the lowest part of the graft, the flesh has rotted away without me knowing all the way round and dried out and to leave just the woody stem that was in the middle.

The Graft above funnily looks pretty normal and has the usual three Hylo ribs. The multi headed Bloss on top doesn't look 100% but it doesn't look like it's on the way out either.

I knocked all the horrible pure peat out of the roots and put it in magically better mix of Coir and Stone Grit mix.

Is there any chance of this posting another season ?

Perhaps you should cut the stock higher up a bit and just re-root it. Should re-root easily. :P

I second CactusFanDan's opinion.
