Strange graft... But it worked!

I recently posted a note about a Pilosocereus that had a peculiar black discoloration on the apex. I knew the top would have to come off, and, after much deliberation, I followed the directions on this site and actually replaced it with a small Ferocactus latispinus. It has taken perfectly, BUT, it looks a bit, er, uh, well, let's just say it looks like a really painful marital aid. The final test will be if it flowers.
Proud papa to 25 Genus and 78 species of these prickly devils.
