The top picture is a pup grafted onto a Myrtillocactus geometrizans stock. The pup is one that I sliced off of a grafted seedling that turned out to be a variegate, that was the best colored I have seen from the "mother" graft I link in the first description, it is another E. esmeraldana grafted onto a Pereskiopsis stock. Here is the link again: http://www.flickr.com/photos/i_am_subverted/8712386869/

I decided to make up some numbered tags for my 7 grafted Geohintonia seedlings so that I can keep track of them in the future. It was easy to remember which grafts are which when I was starting out but now it is getting a little out of hand.

And an update on the F. asteroides:

Good idea on the tags. A friend of mine had an entire table collapse. Everything had stick labels and when the plants hit the floor the labels went all over the place.

He is now writing the info directly on the grafting stock. Obviously not that easy to do on Pereski, but on larger stock I think its a great idea.

Grafts are looking awsome, nice work =D>

That would be a nightmare!

If anyone is wondering how I made the tags, they are just aluminum from a soda can that I cut into strips and numbered with an embossing label maker I found in a box.

Geohintonia mexicana graft number 1 has turned into something that looks like it is going to crest or divide into two heads. Very neat. :)

I will post up some photos of the Aztekium grafts I have and and update on the variegate orange/pink Eriosyce a bit later once I actually go through all these photos I have taken lately.

Finally the update on the other grafts that I promised...

I have one seedling of each Aztekium species grafted...but I cant tell them apart yet! ](*,) Oh well. The first photo is an update of the above graft photo.

Next Aztekium:

The Eriosyce esmeraldana variegate/albino next to a normal E. esmeraldana graft:

There is an almost completely white pup coming off the mother plant of the colored one. Just waiting for it to get a bit bigger before removing it to graft it on its own. :D

Awesome grafts! Your first Aztekium seedling looks like classic hintonii to me and the others being ritteri. :) Those E. esmeraldanas are great!
