Heating pad to help root?

I am very new to growing cacti and I just took my first cuttings. I let them callus properly, I hope. I have heard placing a heating pad under the pot may help them root. Does anyone know about this technique?

If your cuttings are in some cool place, maybe. Warmth helps rooting.
But why you will need faster rooting - spring will be here in 2 - 3 months only.
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.
