Time to pot a Mammillaria bombycina cutting?

Post by toadstar »

About a month ago I cut the top off of my Mammillaria bombycina that had been a bit etiolated in the middle and set it aside to callus. Today I noticed a 6 little roots no more than a couple millimeters long growing out of the area of the cut. Should I go ahead and pot it up now and if so what watering regime should I follow?

You can pot it up now, and it's better to keep it a little on the dry side until it's well rooted

I would keep it dry until next spring.
If your cacti mess in your job just forget about the job.
