Hi folks,

my plants have grown during the summer, so I have loads of healthy cultings of Orbea var.
In the second picture above, there is a greygreen rosette hanging down; I forgot the name. But I have further cutlings of those, too.

If you are interested, please leave me a note here or send me a mail to nachtkrabb/at/web.de with your full address.

First come, first served -- and I will send inside EU only. Don't want the little ones to get stuck in a toll booth, where they possibly will throw them away.
Please pay for the shipping.

Have a good time

Hey Ruth,

Do you have two O. variegatas or was this one self fertilized (I can see you have a seed pod)?

I have a O. Variegata that I was thinking of pollinating, though I don't think it's so easy by hand anyway. But I just wonder if you have two plants because I hear they are self fertile.

Hi Coldcactusmontreal,

I admit that I have no idea! I didn't do the job. I guess that some flies (accidentally?) got the flower fertilized. I didn't keep track of which flower was open when and often many flowers were open in parallel of some plants. They are related, being cutlings of the same motherplant, so it is inbreeding anyway.

But growing seeds seems to be a vogue or infectuous or the like. After one O.var. made the first seed pot, the others as well as the Huernias followed suit. #-o

Haha, well it's part of the fun anyway. And the seed pods are so interesting looking so why not enjoy them in the same way you enjoy the unusual flowers? :)
