I have two haworthia, limifolia and retusa, both of which look as though they are ready to divided. What are your views and how would I do it?
Thanks

Re: Haworthia
Definitely both ready. Rob, I'm pretty new to Haworthia (favorite non-cacti), but inherited a bunch of attenuata & have several "Flickr" friends from Europe into in BIG time. Generally they used either entirely mineral/non-organic or very low (say @10%). Seems to be pretty much split 'em & stick 'em. Have a few myself ready to be done, so we'll hear if anything significantly different. The caveat with cacti @ not H20ing new repots for 2 - 3 wks seems to be much less of an issue also.
Once bitten by the cactus collecting/growing bug, there is no known cure!
There's no 12 step programme for Cactaholics...so I shall just have to get some more!!

Thank you for the input. A job for me one evening
Re: Haworthia
I would say definitely ready for a new pot. It just depends on what you want to do with them.
There is no need to take them apart in my opinion. If you want big clumps pot them on.
If you want to propagate, then take them apart.

Forget the dog...Beware of the plants!!!

Unfortunately, the UK does not have the climate for large outdoor pots of succulents or cacti, so I'll have to propagate eventually. Thanks Tony

How soon it is safe to water those pups in the winter?
