This Rhipsalis pilocarpa(?) stem fell into my shopping basket at the local megalomart. Are cuttings easy to root?Image

Fell off? Thats awfully convient. Is it a fast growing variety? If so then it should root easily.

I love when they just hop in the cart like that.
I have several that look similar, yours looks like Rhipalis teres to me. How long and thick is that stem?
It should root easily whatever it is. If it is really small, putting a water bottle over it to help keep it from drying out for a few weeks couldn't hurt.

I'd say the cutting is about 4 inches. Does the water bottle help keep it from drying out too much?
