Hi folks,
We have one of these in a very tall pot that has been doing very well up until now.
The pads are falling over. Theyre still very green and healthy looking but falling.
I feel like I should give it a bunch of water. But it catches water when I am spraying the other potted plants near it so
I'm thinking it might be getting too much water!
Any thoughts?

Re: Prickly Pear
I think that your Opuntia needs a good drink of water. Look at the pads, they seem to be dehydrated from the photo. The narrow neck of it's pot means that it will need something like 4" of water in the neck to give it 1" at the wide point. Does the pot have any drainage holes? In general, Opuntias are very tolerant of water, so go on, give it a big drink.

Thanks for the reply.
That makes sense with the smaller neck not being able to 'catch' as much water.
I gave it a big drink like you suggested.

Oh, and yes I drilled holes in the bottom before transplanting.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
