One of the large, mature Opuntia lindhimeri at my place has large 3" spines.
Do any of the other Opuntia species get bigger spines?

I'd like to know...

Thanks!

I have O. macrocentra that has pretty long spines. O. polycantha var erincea also has pretty dang long spines.
I will have to measure them.

O. engelmannii's can usually be around 3 inches too.

The longest I have seen were on an Opuntia quimilo in Darryls collection.
Hopefully he will chime in on exactly how long they are.

Opuntia azurea parva - magnificent black spines to at least 5-inches.
