for the saguaro, I have seen one that got damaged like that and it grew a tuft ontop of the damaged area(it killed the growth point somehow) and its growing on top of it. I will take a pic to show you what I mean. The flesh sorta died back and it grew an arm almost.

BTW my golden barrel was fine after the 16.7 temp, so they are good down to there.

All of these made it..20 degree for 3 days with ice and snow.

Echinocactus texensis
Yucca brevifolia..its just a baby

Mammillaria spinosissima - this one surprised me

Opuntia microdasys var. rufida <--this one is leaning over..might have to cut it back but it looks like its gonna make it

nice. I have a lot of Opuntia and saguaros mostly. One of these days I need to update my grow list and add it. As for the one that's leaning most of the time from what I have seen of Opuntia that fall over usually if the roots are ok it will put out new pads, of course I do live in Arizona :)

So far it seems as if I have missed really bad damage this year. Sadly, two favorite Agaves got some frostbite though:

I went to SE AZ, and this is some of the damage I found. I was amazed at the amount of palms that lived through the cold, many people down there told me that it was below 0 :shock: .
