You dwarf whipplei shows a lot more yellow than mine. Mine is a vivid Chartreuse color! Do you want a finger or two?

Humm, I really have to think about it  You know better than to offer me something like that  I have a couple of your favorite creamy yellows picked out for you as soon as blooming stops

The rookie hardy gardener has an entry, my first one and first cactus I've gotten to flower (meaning wasn't one bought with flower already on it).
Ec. reichenbachii v. caespitosa

Hadn't even started to open early this AM and within a few hours I just happened to look and found it.

Opuntia phaeacantha 'coral'

An Cylindropuntia imbricata thing.

Opuntia grandiflora, probably now just a Tx. form of compressa/humifusa.

And a friendly 4' gopher snake that happened to be cruising through the garden.Image

Congrats on your first hardy flower! I'm sure we will see many more as the years progress.

Chris

John,
You've got some nice ones there but that O. aciculata bloom is Awesome :D

Ray,
Good to see some action in your garden. Looks like there happy :)

Chris,
Don't know which I like best, the cactus flowers or the gopher snake  Your O. phaeacantha "coral" is sweet-- very spiny and a sweet flower. Doesn't get much better than that. The start I got is already putting on new growth :D
